The map I run before I touch a single color

Your business is doing well. Your brand doesn't quite say so, and you cannot put your finger on why.

The Messaging Clarity Map shown on a desktop, tablet, and phone.

Most founders reach for the visuals first. A new logo, new colors, a fresh template. I understand the instinct, because the visuals are the part you can see.

In reality, the thing that feels off usually starts one layer up. It is in your messaging. Who you serve, what you actually do for them, and whether any of that comes through in a way your ideal client will recognize as theirs. When the message is fuzzy, no color palette in the world fixes it. The brand still reads like a hobby, even though you outgrew that a while ago.

So before I touch a single color for a client, I run one thing. A messaging clarity map. And I turned it into something you can run yourself, for free.

What the map actually does

It walks you through five questions, top to bottom, in one sitting. Go with your gut and don't overthink it. The answer that comes first is usually the honest one.

By the end, your message is clear. That clarity is the whole game. It is the thing your website, your bio, and your next month of content all pull from. And suddenly your visuals and your message are saying the same thing, and it starts to land with the client you actually want.

If some of it feels fuzzy

Good. That is not a failure. The fuzziness is the exact thing that shows up in a brand that has not quite refined its messaging yet. It is fixable. And when you work with me, it is the first thing I fix.

The guided version, for when you want a hand

The free map gives you the framework. Some people fill it in fast and never need more. Others want a hand turning rough answers into language they can actually use.

That is what the guided edition is for. Same map, with the prompt library I actually use built in. You bring the raw honest answers. The prompts sharpen them into a bio, a website hero, a tagline, and a full content calendar. It carries the map three steps past the free one, into your core message statement, a pressure-test to make sure it holds, and thirty real posts mapped straight back to your buckets.

You are the editor. The prompt is the intern. So grab your favorite AI tool and start expanding that message.

My whole content month, run out of one Trello board.

Once your message is clear, the next thing you need is a system to run it, so Monday morning is not a blank page. That is what the Wave Maker Trello System is for. One board, your whole content month, pulled from the message you just mapped. It is $27, and it is the fastest way to put this to work.

Start with the free one

Take the map and build it yourself. It is yours. Fill it in this week, in one sitting, and you're on your way to a message that finally fits.

And if your visuals no longer match your message, and you're ready for a brand that matches everything you just mapped, that is what I do. You built the business. Let's build the brand to match.
